EORS 2025 successfully organized by AO Research Institute
This year’s 33rd Annual Meeting for the European Orthopaedic Research Society (EORS 2025) took place in Davos, Switzerland, on 16-19 June 2025. It was successfully organized by SINPAIN partner AO Research Institute (ARI).
The conference, set out to promote research and development in orthopaedic surgery and related sciences, was well attended with 860 participants from 53 countries. ARI’s SINPAIN team was well represented with multiple contributions:
In his presentation “Reproduced chondrons maintain chondrocyte phenotype and promote inflammatory response in a 3D osteoarthritic cartilage model” Huan Meng showed his work on in vitro models for osteoarthritis, including the results from the SINPAIN project.
Zhen Li gave an invited talk on “Decellularized extracellular matrix based hydrogels for cartilage repair” in the Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering session. She also organized an OARSI/EORS session on Frontiers in Osteoarthritis Research together with Prof. Chunyi Wen from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Last but not least, Zhen was awarded the EORS Aesculap Prize on Translational Research Towards Clinical Applications. Congratulations!
