Reykjavik University team at 2023 On-site Padua Days

The Reykjavik University team participated in the "2023 On-site Padua Days on Muscle and Mobiliy Medicine" conference in Padua, Italy, from 29 March to 1 April 2023.

As part of the session "Non-invasive Assessments in Myology," the team from Reykjavik University presented a study entitled "Novel strategies for cartilage assessment, interplay between bone and muscles". The study presented new assessment metrics to classify knee cartilage conditions and assess degeneration based on bone and muscle densitometry. Data were gathered from both healthy control subjects and patients with clinically evaluated degeneration, allowing the sensitivity of the different metrics to be compared.
