New interview online: Meet Federica Ciliberti
As part of our interview series with young researchers, we are pleased to introduce you to Federica Kiyomi Ciliberti from Reykjavik University.
Federica has just recently defended her PhD thesis which is entirely about her work in the SINPAIN project, covering the whole process of recruiting subjects, followed by knee image processing, data extraction and machine-learning analysis, and ultimately leading to identifying the most predictive biomarkers for cartilage degeneration and knee osteoarthritis.
Working in an international consortium such as SINPAIN has broadened her horizons and gave her a much deeper understanding of how multidisciplinary research enriches and strengthens research.
Read in her interview how the research at Reykjavik University advances more personalised treatment strategies and contributes to better treatment of osteoarthritis.
